Overlooked
Wow! What a morning of hard work! In order to close on our house we had to go in and repaint all the paint that was chipping on the base boards and around the windows. Apparently the loan we're going through FHA is a stickler for old houses with lead based paint so in order to close these areas had to be chipped, sanded, cleaned and touched up. Right now there are splotches of white primer/paint mix that is all over the walls! Haha, how tacky but I know we'll be painting our house and this won't be showing after we move in. We also had to sand a door that once had "soundproof" weirdness all over it. It was great to see my parents, derek's parents and his brother out working on this house together and getting the house repainted so quickly! We are so lucky to have family that really cares and wants us to have the house as much as we do! After spending three and a half hours at the house my parents and I went shopping for an electric stove as we need a stove in the house to be able to close as well! what the heck?! But we ended up buying one at Home Depot that is being ordered and shipped to my house Wednesday! It's a 24" white electric stove so it's about 6 inches smaller than your average stove but I feel like the smaller ones are so cute and kinda European, and it's the size that we really need to fit in our small kitchen. My mom also bought us two outdoor aqua pillows to hopefully put on some white wicker benches on our porch soon!

Hopefully the loan goes through now!
ReplyDeleteIt will after all our repairs our done and we send out the appraisal person to overlook all the things we did and makes sure we did everything that he said we had to do on his list. We should close right after we get his approval though! :)
